Your Registered Dental Hygienist. I am Janae and I look forward to offering my services to you. As a resident of Bowmanville, I am happy to be serving my community. With almost 10 years experience in the dental field and 6 years as a dental hygienist, I am ready to be your oral health advocate and help you achieve a healthy smile.
I am passionate about oral health, and I am always finding ways to better serve my patients. I have a health first approach. Poor oral health equals poor overall health. I want my patients to leave their appointments feeling empowered about their oral and overall wellness. I do not believe in long lecture and making my patients feel guilty about their oral habits. My goal is to educate in a practical manner and leave the rest up to you.
What I do - I serve as your oral health advocate. I do not believe that there is a one size fits all approach in dentistry.
Every patient has different needs and my aim is to meet them. This is why I take the time to listen to my patients, assess their needs and ultimately formulate a personalized dental hygiene treatment plan that is both attainable and necessary.
At Flossophie you will never feel rushed or as if you in a queue. We are here for YOU.
My why is simple - YOU. I believe that what I do is a necessary service which allows me to create and form lasting connections within the community. I live for the days when I can help someone have a whiter smile or healthier gums. I find joy in knowing that I impact the lives of so many in such a meaningful and positive way.
A registered dental hygienist is an educated healthcare professional who works independently or alongside a dentist to provide preventative dental hygiene services. Dental hygienists perform services such as dental scaling, stain removal, fluoride treatments, dental sealants, desensitization and teeth whitening.
We recommend seeing a dentist once yearly for a check up exam and dental x-rays. If you do not have a regular dentist, we can refer you to one.
The frequency of your scaling will depend on a number of factors including health of your bone and gums, medical history, amount of tartar buildup, among other things. After a thorough assessment is done, an interval will be recommended for you.
